Ultra-Compact CO₂ Sensor for Modern Electronics Solutions
With the new S12 CO₂ sensor, SENSEAIR is setting new standards in CO₂ measurement technology. The sensor combines proven NDIR technology (Non-Dispersive Infrared Technology) with an extremely space-saving design, opening up new possibilities for building automation, smart home systems, and battery-powered air quality sensors. Measuring only 18×15×7mm, the S12 is approximately 75% smaller than previous models and is therefore ideally suited for applications where installation space is limited.

The SENSEAIR S12 measures CO₂ concentration directly using an optical NDIR measurement method, delivering stable and reliable measurement results over many years. In Non-Dispersive Infrared Technology, infrared light is directed through a gas chamber. Since CO₂ molecules absorb specific wavelengths of light, the reduction in light intensity detected by the sensor can be used to precisely determine the gas concentration.
Thanks to its low power consumption, the sensor is particularly suitable for battery-powered and wireless IoT devices as well as energy-efficient building concepts. The available SMD (Surface-Mount Device) capability also enables direct integration into modern electronics manufacturing processes and supports efficient high-volume production.
